Groppi Davide

Davide Groppi (Italy - 1963) is one of the most productive lighting designers of the recent years.

In 1985 he starts working as an industrial designer and from 1988 began to design, build and sell lamps.

It is from 1994, when his works are exhibited in Salone del Mobile in Milan, that his designs have become more and more well known, initiating a successful and distinguished career that led him to found his own company and win four Compasso di Oro, one in 2011 and another in March 2014 thanks to the designs of the Neuro, and Sampei Nulla luminaires.

His designs come from the heart and brain, ideas arising from a certain way of being and thinking. In his projects, he considers simplicity, lightness, emotion and invention as key components.

Davide Groppi always works with a close-knit group of collaborators with which he shares the development of all ideas.
