Antonio Citterio

Antonio Citterio was born in Merida in 1950. He opened his own design studio in 1972 and graduated in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 1975.

Between 1987 and 1996 he was associated with Terry Dwan. Together they designed buildings in Europe and Japan. In 1999 he founded with Patricia Viel the company "Antonio Citterio and Partners", carrying out projects internationally.

Antonio Citterio currently collaborates in the field of industrial design, with Italian and foreign companies such as Flos, Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Fusital, Hermès, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Sanitec Group, Technogym Tre Più and Vitra.

In the years 1987 and 1994 Antonio Citterio was awarded the "Compasso dOro" ADI prize. In 2008 he received from the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce of London the honorary title of "Royal Designer for Industry".
